Aquatics
Folsom Wellness & Sports Conditioning Center houses a “state of the art” indoor pool specifically designed to meet the needs of many.
Our instructors are certified aquatic exercise specialists and have many years of experience. The Arthritis Plus class, which is approved by the Arthritis Foundation, teaches the 2010 methods and techniques.
The principals of water offer a state of decreased gravity and compressive forces, allowing individuals to exercise with less discomfort, while improving mobility, flexibility, strength and conditioning.
We offer a variety of classes as well as Gym Memberships. Drop ins are welcome. Class size is monitored to ensure the quality of the pool environment. Children under the age of 14 are not permitted.

Schedule Descriptions:
Physical Therapy – Patients are scheduled to be seen in the pool by El Dorado Physical Therapy throughout the day. Please be aware of Physical Therapy ONLY times.
Independent Exercise – A NON supervised scheduled time for our Independent Pool Members.
Water Fitness – A low impact exercise class designed to challenge individuals with varying fitness levels and for those who are looking to improve their cardiovascular health.
Arthritis Plus – Certified through the Arthritis Foundation, the Arthritis Plus class is developed specially for those with arthritis to help reduce pain in the joints while still maintaining an active lifestyle.
Posture Perfect Pilates – A 40-minute standing and seated Pilates class that will help you improve posture, balance and strength, range of motion and perform daily activities.
Fit and Functional – A 40-minute low impact whole body group fitness class that features fun, motivating music and utilizes small exercise balls, elastic tubing with handles and body weight to boost fitness, improve balance, heart fitness, muscular strength, endurance and coordination.

Bonnie Thomas, AEA, Aquatics Director As one of the owners of Folsom Wellness & Sports Conditioning Center, Bonnie takes great pride in helping to provide the best environment in our state of the art indoor pool as possible. Certified since 1995 through the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA), she is committed to ensuring that the aquatic instructors at the Folsom Wellness & Sports Conditioning Center have the background and experience to work with all of our clients. |

Barbara Catalano AEA, Hydro Tone Barbara has been working in the aquatic exercise environment since 1991. Certified with the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA), Hydro Tone, and the Arthritis Foundation, she has the ability to work with special populations as well as water fitness enthusiasts. |

Nicole O’Meara AFAA Nicole has been working in the Aquatic Exercise field since 2005. She obtained her group fitness instructor certification through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and holds a certificate in Special Populations and Post Rehabilitation Training Certification from Aquatic Options. |

Joy Cazel AEA, AFAA Joy has been teaching aquatic exercise classes since 2003. She became interested in teaching aquatic classes because of her love for participating in aquatic exercise. She has received certifications from Aquatic Exercise Association, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, and the Arthritis Foundation. Joy likes traveling, kayaking, fitness, fantasy football, and volunteering with local non-profit organizations. |
